Volunteer Roles & Descriptions

Before the Clinic:

Prayer Team:  The team will meet, in the months ahead, to bathe the clinic and the guests coming to the clinic.  This will be done as a prayer group and during individual prayer time.
Setup Assistant:  This group will assist for setup of the clinic on Friday, April 23rd.

Day of the Clinic:

Advocate:  The person who will assist the guests that come to the clinic.  The advocate will be assigned a single guest or a family.  They will remain with the guest/family until all areas of interest have been visited.  They will use the time to show that Jesus loves all of us and Jesus will not leave us.  This is why the guest/family will not be left alone throughout the day.
Welcome Desk: Help guide the guests and volunteers as they enter the clinic. You will assist the registration desk also as needed.
Guest Registration:  Will get volunteers signed in and their roles assigned as they come.  Will assist the guests in paring them up with an advocate.
Gatekeeper: Managing the flow of guests in and out of designated areas.
Prayer Team: Will pray for the request that the guests have the day of the clinic. Pray with the guests if they request prayer or spiritual counseling. There will be a chapel area for the Prayer Warriors time in prayer.
Evangelism Team: This is a group of people who have a passion to share their faith. There may be a need to have spiritual counseling with a guest, or assist with spiritual needs the guest have.
Medical Team: We need doctors and nurses in any area of specialty. We need medical educators, Dietitians, diabetic clinicians, etc.
Vision Team: Need individuals to assist with vision screening and guest registration within the vision area
Dental Team: Need individuals to assist with the dental screening and guest registration within the dental area
Spa Team: We need hairdressers, barbers, and people to do manicures and wash hair, etc.
Kids Area (**Requires background check): This will be an area for the children to come and learn about Jesus in a loving atmosphere like a mini VBS.
Clothes Closet/Food Pantry:  This will be the area where clothes that have been donated will be handed out as well as food items that have been collected.
Day Stage: Where praise music, testimonies, etc. will be given throughout the entire day of the clinic. We will be needing musicians, children/youth groups to perform and people who want to share their testimonies. We also need individuals to help with keeping the performances organized during the day.
Kitchen Team: We will need servers and people willing to clean up.
Family Photographs:  We plan on offering a free family picture to each of our guests.  We will need assistance in guiding the guests as they come for the picture.  We also need photographers to take the pictures.
Setup Team: This will be ongoing from Friday to late Saturday night. We will need people that will help setup and break down throughout the clinic. This will be a team, you may sign up for a specific time if you can't do both Friday and Saturday.
Security/Parking Team: These individuals will assist the guests and volunteers as they arrive. Provide directions to parking and to their clinic needs.
Transportation Team: We will need churches to provide their van and driver to pick up and return guests as needed.
Crusade Team: We will be having a crusade on Saturday after the clinic. This will be a time of praise and worship. We will need individuals to setup and break down as well as serve during the Crusade.
Follow-Up Team: Will be making phone calls, after the clinic, to let the guests know we care about their spiritual needs and want to make sure they are with a church if they want to be.
Anywhere Needed: If we have an over abundance of volunteers for other areas, we may need to place in other roles.
