Lord, help us to desire those good things that we need from day to day

That others might see in us, Your love in some special way.

Help our smile to be like sunshine, spreading light to every corner in a room.

To have Hope with its great faithful thoughts, to overpower all the gloom.

Somehow let our light shine freely that others would see and know,

We have truly been with You and that You love them so.

What other reason should we live for, in this world of shame and despair,

Except as a witness to all others, we reached out, and You were there.
